Producing a styled shoot has always been a huge dream of mine but felt extremely overwhelming and impossible. So much so I put it off for over a decade. Yikes!!

Over the years I have been invited to photograph some pretty incredible mock weddings and consider myself insanely lucky to have been given these opportunities.

Even after getting to be a part of some of the most stunning shoots, something about being in full control was always very appealing. So after fretting over the uncertainty I finally decided to take the leap and produce my very own faux wedding shoot!

After weeks of planning, being told no (but also told yes) I did it!! I completed my very own styled shoot and it ended up being one of the best career accomplishments to date.

Fear, anxiety and self doubt nearly convinced me that I wouldn’t be able to get anyone on board with my vision but the drive to accomplish this kept me moving forward.

I honestly couldn’t have done this without my incredibly talented and generous team of industry friends and my family of course.

Our style and aesthetic was “elevated garden” and served as the perfect complement to the stunning grounds of our venue, Country Meadow Ranch. We got to experiment with several different color palettes too and were able to ensure we got a variety of looks for everyones portfolio. My favorite, the family style, long tables under the trees in the bridal path.

Country Meadow Ranch is a gorgeous private estate in Somis, CA and recently opened its doors to weddings. The backdrops were endless! We used a few different ceremony sites including their very own little white chapel, floral nests in the grassy meadow and a beautiful flower filled wedding arch.

This was such a great accomplishment that even a month later I am STILL emotional and full of gratitude.
